Congratulations Dr. Jennifer Martin!

Special congratulations to Dr. Jennifer Martin who attended her own convocation on June 5 of this year.

Her doctoral thesis explored practitioners’ understanding of the harms done to children who have been made the subjects of sexual abuse images on the Internet.

Well done Dr. Jennifer Martin, C.Y.W., B.A. (CYC), M.S.W., Ph.D.

Dr. Sheldon Reinsilber appointed to new faculty position

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sheldon Reinsilber to the Limited Term faculty position in the School of Child & Youth Care starting August 1.
As many of you know, Sheldon has had a long association with our School and has greatly contributed to its development over the years. In his current role as Student Affairs & Internship Coordinator, he deserves special recognition for building the Internship Program and strengthening academic advising starting with the introduction of our 4 Year and full-time Direct Entry Programs in 2006.
Please join with me in congratulating Sheldon and wishing him all the best in his new position.

R.I.P Martha Mattingly

Ryerson University’s School of Child and Youth Care is deeply saddened to hear of the death of child care worker Martha Mattingly.

Congratulations Dean Usha George!

Congratulations to Dean Usha George who was one of 10 nominees shortlisted for the Paul Yuzyk Award for Multiculturalism. This award, given out by the federal government, recognizes people for multicultural endeavours that seek to welcome and help newcomers to Canada transition to life in our country.
